Edy Lawson-Jackson graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Literature. Afterwards, she received her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC. Edy is admitted to the State Bars of Maryland, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, as well as the United States District Court for Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has been practicing law for 21 years and presently owns and operates a small, boutique legal practice in Bowie, Maryland.
Edy practices in general litigation and contracts. She is a family law expert, litigating hundreds of custody, divorce, child support, and domestic violence matters. Additionally, Edy has been selected to serve as a court appointed Best Interest Attorney for minor children in contested custody cases. She has served as a board member for Community Legal Services of Prince George’s County in Maryland for four years, and received recognition and awards for her commitment to providing excellent pro bono services to financially challenged members of the community.
In addition to practicing law, Edy has a unique background in health, nutrition, and training. She has won numerous local and regional championship titles in bodybuilding, including Ms. Maryland. She has shared her enthusiasm for health and fitness with her colleagues by writing a monthly column for the Prince George’s County Law Journal.
Edy is the NFLPA Contract Advisor for the Maryland office. Before joining HOF Player Representatives, she formed Homegrown Sports Management. Edy’s legal background and knowledge of training, nutrition and supplementation is a benefit to our athletes.
